Unlike cars that have a spin-on filter, the 152FMH uses a centrifugal oil filter rotor inside the right crankcase cover. The service manual dedicates an entire page to cleaning this rotor. If you don't clean the hardened sludge out of this rotor every 5,000 km, oil flow stops, and the camshaft welds itself to the head.
Place the top piston ring into the cylinder bore and push it down 1" using the piston. Measure the ring gap with a feeler gauge. If the gap exceeds 0.5mm (0.020"), replace the rings. Reassembly Tips
Indicates an overly rich fuel-to-air mixture. Clean the air filter, adjust the carburetor float height, or drop the carburetor needle clip position. Clutch Slipping (Semi-Automatic or Manual)

The Ultimate 152FMH Engine Service Manual & Maintenance Guide
Rotate the flywheel counterclockwise using a socket wrench until the aligns perfectly with the index notch on the crankcase.
The electrical system of the 152FMH engine relies on a simple, self-sustained CDI system. It does not require a battery to run, though a battery is necessary if your model features an electric starter. Stator Output Colors (Standard Lifan/Chinese Wiring Scheme)
While it’s not a glossy manufacturer manual, it contains 95% of the data needed to rebuild this engine from bare cases. Pair it with a cheap digital caliper and feeler gauges, and you’ll save hundreds in shop labor.
When installing new rings onto the piston, stagger the ring gaps 120 degrees apart so they do not align. Ensure any stamped markings (e.g., "T" or size marks) face upward toward the piston crown.
Locate the 17mm bolt on the bottom-left side of the engine casing. Note: Do not confuse the oil drain plug with the angled 14mm cam chain tensioner bolt.
Before turning a wrench, verify your engine code. The code is typically stamped into the lower left side of the crankcase, near the gear shifter. Verify valve clearances are not too tight. Use a compression tester; a healthy 152FMH engine should show 120–150 PSI . If under 90 PSI, check for worn piston rings or burnt valves. Engine Bogs or Hesitates Under Load
