This error often occurs when users try to flash a (a .zip file) using Mi Flash.
The Mi Flash tool is a popular software developed by Xiaomi that allows users to flash firmware, ROMs, and updates on their Xiaomi devices. It's a powerful tool that can help you breathe new life into your device by installing a new operating system or updating to the latest version.
The error happens when the Mi Flash Tool cannot locate the required script to flash your Xiaomi, Redmi, or POCO phone. This usually occurs because of an incorrect file path, a missing folder extraction, or selecting the wrong flashing option at the bottom of the tool.

Mi Flash Tool can be finicky with long file paths or paths containing spaces and special characters.
This is a special case. Some older Xiaomi devices were released without a locked bootloader. For these models, Xiaomi never included the flash_all_lock.bat script in their ROM packages. In this situation, the file is genuinely missing from the ROM, and the error is expected. The solution is not to find the file, but to configure Mi Flash to use a different script that doesn't lock the bootloader.

Fastboot ROMs come compressed in a .tgz file extension. Many users only unzip it once, leaving a second compressed .tar folder inside. Right-click your downloaded ROM file. Extract it using a tool like 7-Zip or WinRAR.
If you really need to lock bootloader:
Open the new folder. If you see a single file inside, extract that file again. The error happens when the Mi Flash Tool
You selected the wrong folder in the tool.
2. Properly Extract the Archive (The Double-Extraction Trick)
If switching options does not work, your ROM package itself might be incorrect.
Inside the final folder, navigate to subfolder. Look for flash_all_lock.bat .
